About Us

Davey Street Partners, LLC was founded by Steven A. Siegel, an entrepreneurial real estate executive in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with a proven track record for successfully sourcing, negotiating, entitling, structuring and executing complex real estate development and finance transactions. Mr. Siegel has 20 years of real estate transaction and development experience and has structured and executed billions of dollars of development and finance transactions during his career.

Prior to founding Davey Street, Mr. Siegel served under Mayor Adrian M. Fenty as Director of Development in the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development.

Mr. Siegel’s role included implementing the Mayor's economic development policies through negotiating, positioning and structuring some of the most complex and high-impact, public-private development projects in the City including the $1.5 billion redevelopment of the Old Convention Center site into a 2 million square foot mixed-use development project (CityCenter DC) and the 850,000 square foot, $515 million Marriot Marquis Convention Center Headquarters Hotel. In addition, Mr. Siegel led and oversaw the legislative effort to implement the Mayor’s key economic development initiatives.

Before serving in the District of Columbia government, Mr. Siegel served as Vice President of Acquisitions for a Mid-Atlantic multifamily developer responsible for sourcing and identifying existing and new development and construction opportunities. Mr. Siegel sourced, financed, acquired and developed both affordable and market rate housing during his tenure.

After graduating from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering, Mr. Siegel began his real estate career in 1994 as a commercial real estate consultant representing both private and institutional commercial property owners, Fortune 500 companies, and law firms and associations.

Mr. Siegel has guest lectured at the George Washington University School of Business on the topic of municipal subsidy finance and has participated in various speaking engagements on the topic of economic development and government incentives.
